Make it

I’ve rarely met a female who knows how powerful, strong and beautiful she is.

And that’s a tragedy. And it must change because our world needs us. Our hurting world needs what only we have.

Our world needs what only YOU have.

Yes, YOU!

You are powerful.

You are beautiful.

You are strong.

Please, please please do not hide your unique gifts from the world.

It is a mistake that I personally made for decades. I chose safety over my dreams. I gave less to the world and I became less of who I am.

Today, I am surrounded by women who continually empower and celebrate me. And most days, I know my value. I know that I haven’t completely arrived. I’m not sure any of us ever do. But I also know that we all need each other now, in whatever part of our journey we find ourselves. I think our need for each other is healthy;  it keeps us humble, connected, empathic and moving forward. That’s a very good thing.

I am more when I celebrate you. And one way I find empowerment is creating portraits that make my clients feel amazing, amplified, and seen. It’s such an honor and it brings with it a sense of shared empowerment. By embracing our unique power, strength + beauty in ourselves and in each other, we build connections and become catalysts for the change our world needs. This excites me.

If you could have a few authentic photographs of yourself that are really beautiful, how would that feel? I can tell you a few of how my clients said it feels:

“You have changed my life. I feel beautiful. For the first time, ever, I feel beautiful.”

“Well, Damn!”

“I’ve never seen myself like that. Ever.”

“Wow, that’s me. That’s really me. I love it.” And she was looking at the raw image still in camera.

“I can’t believe the difference having a few great photos of myself makes. I find myself putting myself out there more.”

If you are that rare woman who is rocking her power, strength and beauty, I want to hear about your journey and photograph you!

Still working on rocking it? Me too. Nearly everyone is. I’d be honored to hear from you.

If you’re still reading, thank you. I could’ve simply told you a little about me: that I wanted to be a photographer since I was a child and that I love my husband and children and have a cute little dog (all that’s true and my dog is super cute! ), but I wanted you to know my WHY. It’s what makes me come alive. I could never just take pictures. That would suck.

Thanks for listening!
